How to Customize Your AI Assistant to Speak Exactly Like You

Customize your AI Assistant’s tone, language, and logic to match your voice — even test it live before deploying to clients.

One of the most powerful features in FitMetrics is the ability to train and customize your AI Assistant to speak just like you.

Whether your coaching brand is casual, professional, strict, or humorous — the AI can adapt to your unique style. Here’s how to configure it:


🎯 Step 1: Go to AI Assistant → Train → Guidance

From the left sidebar, under AI Features, click AI Assistant
Then inside the Train section, go to Guidance

This is where you’ll configure your AI’s personality, tone, and communication behavior.


⚙️ Step 2: Adjust the Basics

You’ll find three simple toggles here:

  • Tone of voice:
    Choose between:

    • Friendly

    • Neutral

    • Matter-of-fact

    • Professional

    • Humorous

  • Answer length:
    Select how detailed you want the responses to be:

    • Concise (short & sharp)

    • Standard (balanced)

    • Thorough (long-form explanations)

  • Emoji support:
    Choose how often emojis appear in responses:

    • Never

    • Sparingly

    • Moderate

    • Frequent


🧩 Step 3: Customize Behavior with Templates

We’ve created advanced templates under four categories. These allow you to fully control how your AI responds in different situations.

You can:

  • Use our pre-built templates

  • Edit them

  • Or create your own custom templates from scratch.

🗣️ 1. Communication Style

Modify the vocabulary or tone — e.g., "Use simple words", "Sound like a coach, not a therapist", etc.

🔍 2. Context and Clarification

Control how the AI asks follow-up questions — e.g., “Ask for more details if unclear.”

🚨 3. Problem Resolution

Teach the AI how to respond to specific problems — e.g., “If a client misses a check-in, use an encouraging tone with a reminder.”

📚 4. Education and Learning

Control how the AI explains concepts — e.g., “Teach macros in plain language”, “Use analogies”, etc.

💡 Tip: Add as many templates as needed. This gives your assistant depth in real coaching scenarios.


👀 Step 4: Preview Your AI in Real Time

On the right side of the screen, you’ll see a Preview Panel.
This is where you can test any setting or message you configure.

Just type a message as if you were a client, and the AI will respond based on your tone, logic, and training.

This lets you see exactly how your AI sounds — before any client ever sees it.

  • You can come back and change any of these settings at any time.

  • Every AI Assistant is unique to your business.

  • The more you fine-tune it, the more it sounds like you.
