You can now record and send video messages to clients directly from FitMetrics. Videos are sent as native Trainerize video messages — clients see them in their chat just like any other video message.

How to Record a Video Message

  1. Open a client conversation

  2. With an empty composer (no text typed), click the video icon next to the send button

  3. Allow camera and microphone access when prompted

  4. Click Record to start — record up to 60 seconds

  5. Click Stop when done

  6. Preview your video, then click Send

The video is automatically converted to the right format and uploaded with a thumbnail preview.

Upload an Existing Video

You can also send video files from your computer:

  1. Click the attachment icon in the message composer

  2. Select a video file (MP4, WebM, etc.)

  3. The file uploads and sends as a video message

Use Cases

  • Exercise demonstrations — quickly record a form correction or exercise variation

  • Personal check-ins — a face-to-face video message feels more personal than text

  • Meal prep tips — show clients how to prepare a specific meal

  • Motivation — send a quick encouraging video to boost client engagement

Important Notes

  • Maximum recording length is 60 seconds

  • Videos are sent as native Trainerize video messages with thumbnail previews

  • Requires a browser with camera/microphone support (Chrome, Safari, Edge)

  • The video icon only appears when the message composer is empty (no text typed)
