What Is the AI Workout Builder in FitMetrics?

The AI Workout Builder lets you create fully personalized workout programs for your clients in under 60 seconds using a simple guided form — and send them directly to Trainerize. Navigate to the AI Workout Builder to get started.


How It Works

  • You fill in a structured form with your client's training preferences

  • The AI generates a complete multi-day program with exercises, sets, reps, rest periods, and descriptions

  • You review the program in the preview tab and can edit coaching cues per exercise

  • Click "Send to Trainerize" to push the program directly to your client's account


What You'll Be Asked

The form walks you through the following fields:

  • Days per week — Choose between 2 and 7 training days

  • Session duration — 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes

  • Experience level — Beginner (new to training), Intermediate (6+ months), or Advanced (2+ years)

  • Primary goal — Muscle Gain, Fat Loss, Strength, Athletic Performance, or General Fitness

  • Equipment — Full Gym, Home Gym, Dumbbells Only, Free Weights Only, Kettlebell Only, Resistance Bands, or Bodyweight Only

  • Supersets — No Supersets, Some Supersets (1 per workout), or Full Supersets

  • Circuits — No Circuits, Some Circuits (1 per workout), or Full Circuits

  • Injuries — Toggle yes or no. If yes, describe the injury details in the text field provided

  • Exercise Library — Choose between Trainerize Library (built-in exercises) or your own Custom Exercises (requires 25+ synced exercises)

  • Additional Notes — Free text (up to 300 characters) for specific coaching instructions to the AI

  • Gym Photos — Upload up to 5 photos of the client's gym for equipment context (optional)

Note: Selecting Full Supersets automatically disables circuits. Selecting Some Supersets disallows Full Circuits.


What the AI Generates

  • A full multi-day program with named workout days (e.g., Upper Body Push, Leg Day)

  • Exercise lists per day with sets, reps, and rest periods

  • A program-level description and daily workout descriptions

  • All exercises matched from the selected exercise library


Sending to Trainerize

  • Review the generated program in the Preview tab

  • Edit coaching cues or notes on any exercise before sending

  • Click "Send to Trainerize" to create the program, assign it to the client, and schedule it on their calendar

  • If there are existing programs that conflict with the date range, you will be prompted to handle the overlap
