By default, AI Meal Analysis creates one custom food entry per meal in Trainerize (e.g. "Chicken Caesar Salad — 650 kcal"). With per-ingredient mode, the AI breaks the meal into individual ingredients — each logged as a separate food in the client's diary.
This is a beta feature and can be toggled on or off at any time.
Why Use Per-Ingredient Mode?
Client control — clients can remove or adjust individual items directly in their Trainerize diary (e.g. remove the croutons, adjust the dressing)
Better accuracy — the AI matches ingredients to USDA food database entries when possible, giving more precise macro breakdowns
Transparency — clients see exactly what was logged and can learn about individual food values
How to Enable
Find Per-ingredient meal logging (marked as Beta)
Toggle it ON
When disabled, meals are logged in the classic single-food mode.
How It Works
Client sends a meal photo (via Trainerize chat or Telegram)
AI identifies individual ingredients in the meal
Each ingredient is matched to a food database entry when possible
All ingredients are logged as separate items in the client's Trainerize food diary
Important Notes
This is a beta feature — it may occasionally be slower than single-food mode
If the AI can't break a meal into ingredients, it automatically falls back to single-food mode
Works with both Trainerize chat meal photos and Telegram meal logging
You can switch between modes at any time — the setting applies to future meal analyses only
