⭐ Why Team Members Must Authenticate
Only team members need to authenticate their Trainerize account.
The business owner does NOT need authentication, because all attachments automatically send from the owner’s Trainerize account by default.
Team members must authenticate if they want to send these using their own name:
📎 Attachments (images, PDFs, documents)
🎤 Voice messages
Team members do not need authentication for:
💬 Text messages
😀 Emojis
🔗 Links
Why: Trainerize requires verification when uploading files or recording voice messages—otherwise, Trainerize sends them from the owner’s account.
🔐 How Team Members Authenticate
Step 1 — Try to Send an Attachment or Voice Message
Go to Trainerize Messages inside FitMetrics
Select a client
Click:
📎 Attachment icon, or
🎤 Voice message icon
A pop-up appears prompting authentication
Step 2 — Enter Your Trainerize Credentials
Team members must enter:
Email: The email they personally use to log into Trainerize
Password: Their Trainerize password
⚠️ Team members must NOT use the owner’s credentials or their FitMetrics login.
Step 3 — Click “Authenticate”
FitMetrics securely validates the credentials with Trainerize
If successful → authentication is saved
You can send attachments & voice messages normally
✅ After Successful Authentication
Team members can:
Send files from their own Trainerize coach account
Send voice messages from their own name
Have attachments show correctly under their identity
Avoid attachments sending under the owner’s name
Authentication typically lasts 7–14 days before re-authentication is required.
❌ If a Team Member Does NOT Authenticate
If a coach does not authenticate:
Attachments & voice messages:
❌ Will NOT send from their account
❌ Will instead send from the business owner’s Trainerize account
Text messages:
✅ Still send normally
❌ No authentication needed
Result:
Clients see attachments as coming from the owner, not the coach.
🔄 Re-Authentication (Normal)
Team members will occasionally need to re-authenticate when:
7–14 days pass (token expired)
They change their Trainerize password
Trainerize updates security
They clear browser cookies
Simply re-enter Trainerize email + password when prompted.
