Your clients can now type /help in their Trainerize chat to get AI-powered help — including restaurant menu analysis. When they send a photo of a restaurant menu, the AI analyzes it and suggests the best meal options based on their nutrition goals.

How It Works for Clients

  1. The client opens their Trainerize chat with the AI Assistant

  2. Types /help followed by their question or sends a photo

  3. For restaurant menus: the client takes a photo of the menu and sends it

  4. The AI analyzes the menu items against the client's current nutrition goals

  5. Returns personalized recommendations on what to order

Pre-Planning Mode: /help plan

When a client is planning meals ahead of time — scanning a menu for a weekend trip, looking at options for later in the week, or prepping for a future meal — they can type /help plan instead of just /help.

With /help plan, the AI measures the meal against the client's full daily nutrition targets, instead of what's left for today. This avoids advice that's skewed by whatever they've already eaten at the time of asking.

Accepted keywords: plan, planning, or prep — any of these work right after /help.

Example: A client sends a photo of Saturday's restaurant menu on Thursday with the caption /help plan for saturday dinner. The AI recommends options that fit the client's full daily macros, not what's left of Thursday.

How to Enable or Disable

  1. Find the /help Photo Analysis section

  2. Toggle it ON or OFF

When enabled, clients can use /help (and /help plan) in their conversations. When disabled, the command is ignored.

Use Cases

  • Restaurant menus — client photographs a menu, AI suggests the best options for their goals

  • Grocery labels — client sends a photo of a nutrition label for quick analysis

  • Pre-planning future meals — client uses /help plan to evaluate options against their full daily targets (useful for weekend trips or upcoming events)

  • General nutrition questions — client asks food-related questions and gets answers informed by their personal goals

Important Notes

  • By default, /help uses the client's remaining macros for today — what's left of their daily targets after logged intake

  • /help plan uses the client's full daily targets instead, for pre-planning

  • This feature works alongside the regular AI Assistant — it doesn't replace normal conversation

  • Available on Starter AI and Business AI plans
