Understanding Your Payment Metrics (MRR, Revenue, Active & Canceled)

How FitMetrics calculates MRR, Revenue, Active subscriptions, and Canceled subscriptions in the Payments Tracker dashboard.

The Payments Tracker shows four key metrics at the top of the page. Here's exactly how each one is calculated.

MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue)

MRR shows the total monthly value of all active subscriptions from Stripe and Whop combined.

How It's Calculated

FitMetrics normalizes every active subscription to a monthly amount:

  • Monthly subscriptions count as-is

  • Yearly subscriptions are divided by 12

  • Weekly subscriptions are multiplied by 4

All active subscriptions are then added together to give your total MRR.

Important Notes

  • Only active subscriptions are counted โ€” trialing, past due, and canceled subscriptions are excluded

  • If you have clients paying in different currencies, MRR is shown separately for each currency (e.g., $1,200 USD and 800 GBP)

  • MRR includes subscriptions from both Stripe and Whop

  • Manual payments (cash, check, bank transfer) are not included in MRR โ€” only Stripe and Whop subscriptions count

Revenue (Period)

Revenue shows the total amount of successful charges from Stripe and Whop within the selected date range.

How It's Calculated

  • Only charges with a succeeded or paid status are counted

  • The date range defaults to the first of the current month through today

  • Adjust the date range using the date picker to see revenue for any period

Like MRR, if you have charges in multiple currencies, revenue is shown separately for each.

Note: Revenue only includes Stripe and Whop charges. Manual payments recorded from the client's Payments tab are not included in this metric โ€” they appear in the client's total spend but not in the Revenue summary.

Active Subscriptions

The green Active badge shows the total count of clients with at least one active subscription on Stripe or Whop (or both).

A client is counted as active when their subscription status is "active" on at least one connected payment provider.

Canceled Subscriptions

The red Canceled badge shows the total count of clients with at least one canceled subscription on Stripe or Whop.

This includes clients who:

  • Canceled their subscription

  • Had their subscription canceled by the business

  • Have a subscription set to cancel at the end of the billing period

Tips

  • Use the Status filter to quickly view only Active, Trialing, Past Due, or Canceled clients

  • Sort by Amount to see your highest-paying clients first

  • Sort by Total Spend to see lifetime value leaders

  • Sort by Next Payment to see upcoming renewals

  • If you have multiple Stripe accounts, use the account selector to filter metrics by account or view all combined
