How to Connect Whop with FitMetrics

Step-by-step guide to creating a Whop Company API Key and connecting it to FitMetrics for payment, membership, and subscription tracking in the Payments Tracker.

Connecting your Whop account lets FitMetrics pull in your payment and membership data so you can track everything inside the Payments Tracker. FitMetrics is read-only β€” it observes your Whop data but never processes payments or modifies your account.


Why Connect Whop?

Connecting Whop allows FitMetrics to:

  • Track Whop payments and memberships

  • Match purchases to your coaching clients by email

  • See revenue and MRR inside the Payments Tracker


Step-by-Step: Connect Whop

1. Log in to Your Whop Account

Go to your Whop dashboard.


2. Open Developer Settings

  1. From the site menu, click Dashboard

  2. Go to All Tools

  3. Click More

  4. Select Developer


3. Create a Company API Key

  1. Click Company API Keys

  2. Click Create

  3. Give the key a name (recommended: FitMetrics)

  4. Make sure Permissions are set to:

    • Inherit permissions from role

    • Role must have Owner permissions

  5. Click Create


4. Copy Your API Key and Company ID

Once created, Whop will generate an API key. Copy it immediately β€” store it safely.

You'll also need your Company ID. This is a unique identifier that starts with biz_ (e.g., biz_abc123def456). You can find it in your Whop developer settings or dashboard URL.


5. Paste the Key and Company ID into FitMetrics

  1. Click Connect Whop

  2. Paste your Whop API Key

  3. Enter your Company ID (must start with biz_)

  4. Click Connect

FitMetrics will verify both values and begin syncing Whop payments automatically.


How Client Matching Works

FitMetrics matches Whop purchases to clients using email address.

Automatic match: The Whop purchase email matches the Trainerize client email.

If emails don't match: The payment will still sync, but the client will appear as unlinked. You can manually link the client using the link button in the Payments Tracker or from the client's Payments tab.


What Gets Synced from Whop

FitMetrics syncs:

  • Purchases and payment history

  • Memberships (status, plan name, amount, interval)

  • Revenue data and total spend per client

FitMetrics has read-only access. It does not create products, manage subscriptions, or modify anything in your Whop account.


Disconnecting Whop

To disconnect the integration:

  1. Scroll to the Disconnect Integration section

  2. Click Disconnect Whop and confirm

This will stop all Whop data syncing. You can reconnect at any time.


Permissions

  • Owners and Admins can connect, disconnect, and manage the Whop integration

  • Coaches and Managers can view the integration status but cannot modify settings
