The Connected Apps column in the Trainerize Clients table shows which health and fitness apps each client has linked to their Trainerize account. This helps you understand what data is available for each client and tailor your coaching accordingly.
Where to Find Connected Apps
Go to Trainerize Clients.
Look for the Connected Apps column in the table. You may need to scroll right or use the column visibility settings to show it if it is hidden.
Each client's row shows small badges for every app they have connected. If no apps are connected, you will see a dash (-).
Supported Connected Apps
FitMetrics detects and displays the following connected apps from Trainerize:
Fitbit
When a client connects Fitbit, their activity data such as steps, heart rate, sleep, and calories burned can flow into Trainerize and be visible in FitMetrics. This gives you a more complete picture of the client's daily activity beyond their scheduled workouts.
MyFitnessPal
A MyFitnessPal connection means the client's nutrition tracking data (calories, macros, and meals) syncs with Trainerize. You can use this data alongside FitMetrics nutrition views to monitor adherence and make informed adjustments to their meal plan.
Withings
Clients who connect Withings devices (smart scales, blood pressure monitors, etc.) have their body measurements automatically synced. This includes weight, body fat percentage, and other health metrics that update without the client having to log them manually.
Apple Health
An Apple Health connection aggregates health and fitness data from the client's iPhone and Apple Watch. This can include steps, workouts, heart rate, sleep, and other metrics tracked by Apple's health ecosystem.
How the Data Flows
Connected apps work through Trainerize's integration system:
The client connects the app from their Trainerize mobile app settings.
Trainerize syncs data from the connected app automatically.
FitMetrics reads the connection status from the client's Trainerize profile and displays it in the Connected Apps column.
You do not need to do anything to set up these connections — your clients manage them from their own Trainerize app. The badges simply let you see at a glance which clients have which integrations active.
Why Connected Apps Matter
Better coaching decisions. Knowing that a client has Fitbit connected means you can reference their daily step count and sleep quality when reviewing their progress.
Troubleshooting data gaps. If a client's nutrition data seems incomplete, checking whether MyFitnessPal is connected can help you identify the issue.
Personalized recommendations. You can suggest specific app connections to clients who would benefit from more comprehensive tracking.
