You can share Leaderboard competition results directly to any Trainerize Group — complete with a podium image and an announcement message. This is a great way to celebrate top performers and drive engagement.
Posting Leaderboard Results to a Group
Go to the Leaderboard page
Set up your leaderboard with the desired time period and scoring mode
Click Post to Group (visible when you have 3 or more clients on the leaderboard)
Select which Trainerize Group to post to
Choose who to Post As (select a trainer from your team)
Choose whether to use an AI-generated announcement or a standard template
Click Post
The post will appear in the group as a formatted message with a podium image showing the top 3 performers with their profile photos.
Scoring Modes
Leaderboard posts support all six scoring modes to match different competition types:
Overall — combined score across all metrics
Steps Only — ranked by step count
Workouts Only — ranked by workout completions
Weight Loss Only — ranked by weight transformation
Habits Only — ranked by habit completion rate
Nutrition Only — ranked by nutrition goal adherence
The scoring mode used for the post matches whatever you have selected on the leaderboard page when you click Post to Group.
AI-Generated Announcements
When posting to a group, you can enable AI-generated announcements. The AI will write an engaging, motivational message highlighting the top performers and their achievements.
If you prefer a simpler post, choose Standard and a template will be used instead with the leaderboard rankings.
Scheduled Recurring Posts
You can schedule leaderboard posts to be sent automatically on a recurring basis:
When posting to a group, look for the scheduling options
Choose a frequency — Weekly or Monthly
Select the day (day of week for weekly, or 1st / 15th / Last day for monthly)
Set the time for the recurring post
Choose which trainer should be the sender
Enable or disable AI-generated announcements for scheduled posts
Scheduled posts will automatically run at the set time and post the latest leaderboard results to the group.
What Gets Posted
Each leaderboard post includes:
A text announcement (AI-generated or template-based) with the competition label and time period
A podium image showing the top 3 performers with their profile photos and scores
If the podium image cannot be generated, the post falls back to a text-only format with the rankings listed out.
