Sharing the Leaderboard with your clients is a powerful way to boost engagement and make progress fun and visible. Here's exactly how to do it.

Step 1: Generate Your Public Link

  • Inside the Leaderboard page, toggle on Public Sharing.

  • A unique URL will be generated for your account.

    • Starter & Essential Plans: Your leaderboard will be hosted under a FitMetrics domain.

    • Business Plan: You can use your own custom domain with your branding and logo — no FitMetrics branding shown.

Step 2: Customize What Clients See

Go to Settings → Public tab to fully control the public leaderboard experience.

Competition Settings

  • Scoring Mode — choose between Overall, Weight Loss Only, Workouts Only, Nutrition Only, Habits Only, or Steps Only

  • Time Period — Last 7 / 30 / 60 / 90 Days, Last Week, Last Month, This Month, This Year, All Time, or a Custom Date Range

  • Calculation Mode — show steps as Averages (average daily steps) or Totals (total steps in the period)

  • Exclude Today — hide today's incomplete data from the public rankings so scores only reflect full days

Privacy Controls

You decide exactly what your clients see:

  • Show/hide client names (surnames are blurred by default for privacy)

  • Show/hide profile pictures (hidden by default)

  • Show/hide rankings or scores

Metric Visibility

Toggle which metrics appear on the public leaderboard:

  • Weight Loss

  • Workout Completion

  • Nutrition Compliance

  • Habits

  • Steps

  • Achievement Badges

Step 3: Share It in Trainerize

Once you have your public leaderboard link:

  1. Go to your Trainerize Admin Panel

  2. Add a custom link to your account (call it something like "Leaderboard")

  3. Paste your public leaderboard URL

Tell your clients: "Want to see where you rank? Just click the Leaderboard link in your app!"

You can also share results directly to Trainerize Groups — with podium images and AI-generated announcements. See the Posting Leaderboard Results to Trainerize Groups article for details.
