The Progress Photos tab on the client dashboard shows all photos from Trainerize organized on a timeline. You can compare before and after photos side by side, use AI analysis, and export branded comparison images.
Where to Find It
Go to Trainerize Clients and open a client
Click the Progress Photos tab in the left sidebar
Photo Timeline
Photos are organized by month (newest first). Months with more than 8 photos are subdivided into weekly sections.
Each photo shows:
Pose type — Front, Side, or Back (label badge on each photo)
Date
Body weight for that day (if available) with a trend arrow (green = weight down, orange = weight up)
Photos taken on the same day are grouped as a photo set (showing Front, Side, Back together).
Date Range Filter
Use the dropdown to filter: Last 3 Months, Last 6 Months, Last 12 Months, or All Time (default).
Comparing Before & After
Click the Compare button (top right)
Select 2 photos (or 2 photo sets) by clicking the + circle on each
Click Compare Photos
The comparison opens in Cinema Mode — a fullscreen dark view with:
BEFORE (blue badge, oldest) on the left, AFTER (green badge, newest) on the right
Drag photos to reposition them
Zoom in/out (1x to 3x)
Laser pointer — draw annotations on top of the photos to highlight changes
Resize photos using the corner handle
For photo sets: BEFORE set shows on top row, AFTER on bottom row, sorted Front / Side / Back.
Before & After Editor
From the comparison view, open the Before & After Editor to create a branded export:
Export presets: 1:1 Square (1080x1080), 4:5 Portrait (1080x1350), 9:16 Story (1080x1920), 16:9 Landscape (1920x1080)
Side-by-side layout with BEFORE/AFTER labels, dates, weights, and your business logo
Independent pan and zoom per side
Download the image or send it directly to the client via Trainerize message
AI Photo Analysis
Select 2 photos for comparison, then click the AI Analyze button. The AI examines both photos and generates:
Summary — narrative overview of physical changes
Key changes — specific observed differences
Recommendations — coaching suggestions based on the progress
Progress score — 1-10 rating
Motivational message for the client
You can generate a PDF report with the AI analysis and send it to the client.
Available on Starter and Business packages.
Important Notes
Photos come from Trainerize — clients upload progress photos in the Trainerize app. You cannot upload photos from FitMetrics.
Keyboard navigation — use left/right arrow keys to navigate between photos in the single-photo view
