The Progression tab on the client dashboard gives you 3 different ways to analyze your client's workout history and track improvements over time.
Where to Find It
Go to Trainerize Clients
Click on a client
Select the Progression tab in the left sidebar
You'll see 3 view options. You can switch between them anytime.
View 1: Session View
Best for: Program adherence and mesocycle tracking
Track specific workouts over time with set-by-set progression.
How to Use It
Select Session View
Choose a program from the client's training plan
Choose a specific workout within that program
What You'll See
A detailed table showing every session of that workout:
Rows: Each exercise, broken down by set (Set 1, Set 2, etc.)
Columns: Each session with the date (Session 1, Session 2, etc.)
Cells: Weight x reps for each set
Progression arrows: Green up arrow = improved, orange down arrow = declined, gray = same
RPE badges: If the client logged RPE, it shows below the session date (e.g., "RPE 7/10")
Overview cards at the top show: Total Sessions, Average RPE, and Unique Exercises.
Cinema Mode
Click the fullscreen button to enter Cinema Mode — a dark, immersive view with:
Laser pointer — draw on the table to highlight specific data points
Zoom — zoom in from 100% to 300% for detailed analysis
Share — capture a screenshot, crop it, and send it directly to the client via Trainerize message
AI Feedback
Click the AI Feedback button (sparkles icon) to get an AI-generated analysis of the client's workout progression.
View 2: Calendar View
Best for: Consistency and rest day analysis
A heatmap calendar showing training frequency and volume patterns.
What You'll See
Green cells: Days with tracked workouts (hover to see workout name, volume, and exercise count)
Gray cells: Rest days
Blue ring: Today
Volume change: Each workout shows the % change vs the previous session (e.g., "+12%")
Stats cards above the calendar show: Total Sessions, Longest Streak (consecutive training days), Current Streak, and Rest Days this month.
Navigate between months using the arrow buttons. Cinema Mode is also available here.
View 3: Progress Charts
Best for: Visualizing long-term exercise trends
Line graphs showing trends and predictions for each exercise.
How to Use It
Select Progress Charts
Search and select up to 5 exercises to compare
Choose your metric: Max Weight, Total Volume, or Estimated 1RM
Choose your time range: Last 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year, or All time
What You'll See
Line chart with one colored line per exercise (up to 5)
Trend indicators per exercise: improving (green, >5% gain), declining (red, >5% drop), or plateau
Stat cards showing the percentage change for each selected exercise
