How to Create a Course

Learn how to create courses, sections, and lessons in the FitMetrics Course Builder with videos, text, resources, and full AI support.

Creating a course in FitMetrics is simple and fast. Follow the steps below to get your course live.


Step 1: Create a New Course

  1. From the site menu, click Courses

  2. Click New Course

  3. Fill in:

    • Course name

    • Course description

    • Cover image (optional but recommended)

Access Type Options

When creating a course, choose how users access it:

  • Open
    All members added to the Blood Test Portal get access automatically.

  • Private
    Only selected members will have access to this course.

Once completed, save the course.


Step 2: Create Sections

Courses are organized into sections, and sections contain lessons.

  1. Inside your course, click Add Section

  2. Enter:

    • Section name

    • Optional description

  3. Click Publish

You can create as many sections as you want.


Step 3: Create Lessons Inside Sections

Each section can contain multiple lessons.

  1. Click to expand the section you made.

  2. Inside a section, click Add Lesson

  3. Give the lesson a name

  4. Click into the lesson editor


Step 4: Build Lesson Content

Inside the lesson editor, type / (forward slash) to open the command menu.

From here, you can add:

Recommended: Video (Native Upload)

  • Upload videos using the FitMetrics native video uploader

  • Automatic transcription is generated

  • Processing usually takes up to 10 minutes, depending on video size

  • Videos uploaded this way are also used to train your AI Assistant

Other Supported Content

  • Text

  • Headings (H1, H2, H3)

  • Bullet lists

  • Numbered lists

  • Quotes

  • Code blocks

  • Task lists

  • Resources:

    • Links

    • PDFs

    • Files

You can freely mix content types inside the same lesson.


Step 5: Publish the Lesson

Once your lesson content is ready:

  1. Review the lesson

  2. Click Publish

That’s it — your lesson is live.


Summary

To create a course:

  1. Courses → New Course

  2. Add name, description, cover image, and access type

  3. Create sections

  4. Add lessons inside sections

  5. Use / to add videos, text, and resources

  6. Publish

Your course is now available to your users inside the white-labeled Blood Test Portal, fully integrated with AI and your custom domain.
