If the AI Workout Builder shows “My Custom Exercises: 0 exercises”, it means your Trainerize custom exercise library hasn’t been synced yet.

This is a new feature that allows the AI to use your own custom exercises when building programs — not just the Trainerize library.

Here’s how to set it up.

1. Go to the AI Workout Builder

Navigate to:

AI → AI WorkoutBuilder → Configure

2. Click “Settings” (Top Right Corner)

On the AI Workout Builder page, click the Settings button.

This opens the Custom Exercise Sync settings.

3. Click “Fetch from Trainerize”

In the settings modal:

  1. Click Fetch from Trainerize

  2. FitMetrics will scan your Trainerize account

  3. It will show how many custom exercises it found

  4. You can select/deselect which exercises you want the AI to use

  5. Click Save

4. Wait 5–10 Minutes for the Sync to Complete

Depending on the size of your library, it may take:

  • 5 minutes for small libraries

  • Up to 10 minutes for large libraries

As soon as the sync completes, your custom exercises will become available in the AI builder.

5. Use the AI Workout Builder Again

(next time you generate)

Return to:

AI Workout Builder → Form Builder View

Now you will see:

⭐ “My Custom Exercises (XX exercises)”

…instead of 0.

You can now select your custom library for AI-generated workouts.

Minimum Requirements (Important)

For best results:

  • You must have at least 25 custom exercises

  • We recommend 50+ for high-quality AI programming

  • If you have 100+, the AI will perform even better and build richer variety

  • The only options currently supported is either your custom exercises OR trainerize library. We don't support combination of both yet.

If you only have a few custom exercises, the AI may not generate balanced programs, which is why we enforce a minimum.

Why You Might Still See “0 Exercises”

If after syncing you still see zero:

  • You clicked Save but didn’t wait long enough

  • You have fewer than 25 custom exercises

  • The sync is still processing

  • You deselected all exercises in the settings screen

Simply return to Settings → Fetch from Trainerize, reselect your exercises, and save again.

Summary

  • “My Custom Exercises: 0” means you haven’t synced your Trainerize library yet

  • Go to AI Workout Builder → Settings → Fetch from Trainerize

  • Select your custom exercises and click Save

  • Wait 5–10 minutes for the system to import them

  • Must have 25+ custom exercises for this feature to work properly

Your custom library will now appear as an option when generating workouts with AI.
