If you want your emails (like login links, confirmations, etc.) to come from your own domain, you can set up custom SMTP with Resend — a free, reliable email service. This is only available to Business package FitMetrics users.

Here’s exactly how to do it 👇

✅ Step 1: Enable Custom SMTP in FitMetrics

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Click Blood Test Portal

  3. Open Email Templates → then SMTP Configuration

  4. Toggle on “Use Custom SMTP Server”

Now leave this open — we’ll come back to fill it out.

🔧 Step 2: Create Your Resend Account

  1. Go to resend.com and sign up (free)

  2. Skip the intro/setup steps and go directly to Domains

  3. Click Add Domain

    • Enter your domain (e.g., xeniosfitness.com)

    • Select your region (e.g., US)

    • Click Add

🌐 Step 3: Add DNS Records

  1. Resend will show you DNS records to add (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, etc.)

  2. Go to your domain host (Squarespace, GoDaddy, Bunny, etc.)

  3. Add all DNS records exactly as shown

⚠️ Important:
If you’re managing your DNS with another provider (like Bunny), make sure you're editing the correct one.

📌 Tip: These records might take up to 24–72 hours to verify, but sometimes it's instant.

🧪 Step 4: Create Your API Key in Resend

  1. Go to Settings → API Keys

  2. Click Create API Key

  3. Name it something like FitMetrics, give it Full Access, and click Add

  4. Copy the API key (this will be your password in FitMetrics)

📥 Step 5: Fill in the SMTP Fields in FitMetrics

Back in FitMetrics, enter the following:

  • Sender Name: Your business name (e.g., Xenios Fitness)

  • Sender Email: e.g. [email protected]

  • SMTP Host: smtp.resend.com

  • Port: 465

  • Use SSL/TLS: ✅ Yes

  • Username: resend

  • Password: Your Resend API key

Click Save, then Send Test Connection

✅ Step 6: Verify It’s Working

  1. You’ll see if the test email was delivered successfully

  2. If it worked, you’re good to go!

You can now use this screen to verify any client email delivery (e.g., if someone says “I didn’t get the email”).

🔁 Optional Tips

  • 🔁 Enable automatic tracking in Resend settings if you want delivery analytics

  • 🛑 Disable “Host can stop/pause cloud recording” on Zoom if you're combining this with Zoom recording features

  • ✅ Always double-check that the domain is verified before testing

You’re done! All FitMetrics emails will now come from your own domain, not from a generic email address — boosting deliverability and brand trust.
