Step 1: Navigate to Integration Settings

  1. Log in to your FitMetrics dashboard.

  2. Click “Connect Trainerize”.

Step 2: Enter Your Credentials

  • Enter your Group ID and Token (from your Trainerize API approval email).

  • Click “Save & Connect”.

Step 3: Initial Sync

  • Once connected, click “Sync” to start pulling client data.

  • Wait approximately 10 minutes for all customer information to load into FitMetrics.

Step 4: Enable Messaging & Sync Threads

  1. Enable Trainerize Messaging

    • Toggle the “Enable Trainerize Messaging” switch (as shown in the screenshot).

    • This allows FitMetrics to process and respond to Trainerize messages.

  2. Click “Sync Threads”

    • After enabling messaging, click the “Sync Threads” button.

Why is this important?

  • Trainerize uses “threads” for messaging. Each thread has a unique ID (visible in the Trainerize message URL).

  • By syncing threads, FitMetrics retrieves all messaging IDs for your clients and coaches.

  • This ensures you can send and manage Trainerize messages directly inside FitMetrics.

Step 5: Multi-Coach Visibility

If you have multiple coaches:

  • FitMetrics lets you view all messages between coaches and clients.

  • This is something Trainerize doesn’t provide natively, giving you full control and transparency as the business owner.

Step 6: Test Your Connection

  1. Go to your Trainerize Integration Dashboard in FitMetrics.

  2. Check if your client list is populated.

Common Connection Issues & Solutions

  • No clients appearing? Wait 10 minutes and try “Sync” again.

  • Invalid Group ID or Token? Double-check your credentials. Copy/Paste carefully from Trainerize email. (Look for spaces, upper/lower case letters)

  • Thread sync failed? Contact FitMetrics Support.
