The Preferences page lets you configure how data is displayed across your workspace — measurement units, timezones, and the language used by AI features. Some settings are available to all team members, while others are restricted to owners and admins.

Where to Find Preferences

Units of Measurement

Who can change: Owners and Admins only

Choose between Metric (kg/cm) or Imperial (lbs/inches). This setting affects how weights and measurements are displayed for all team members across the entire workspace, including:

  • Client weight check-ins and body measurements

  • AI-generated reports

  • Calendar view entries

  • Nutrition and meal analysis data

Display Timezone

Who can change: Everyone (each team member sets their own)

This is your personal timezone for viewing times in the FitMetrics interface. Each team member can set their own display timezone so that timestamps, schedules, and activity times appear correctly in their local time.

Select your timezone from the dropdown — it shows the current local time for each option to help you pick the right one.

Business Timezone

Who can change: Owners and Admins only

The business timezone is separate from your personal display timezone. It controls how scheduled operations run across the platform:

  • AI Check-In schedules — when check-in messages are sent

  • Automated reports — when daily/weekly reports are generated

  • Office hours — what timezone your office hours are based on

  • Smart View date filters — date-based filters like "within X days" or "older than X days" use this timezone to determine what counts as "today," ensuring all team members see the same results

  • Automation triggers — Smart View entry/exit detection for automations uses this timezone for date calculations

Important: Make sure this is set to your primary business location's timezone. If you have coaches in multiple timezones, this should be set to the timezone you want scheduled operations to run in.

AI Output Language

Who can change: Owners and Admins only

Choose the language that AI features use when generating content. This applies to:

  • AI Meal Analysis feedback

  • AI Birthday Wishes

  • AI Assistant responses

  • AI Message Drafts

FitMetrics supports 50+ languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), German, French, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Hinglish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino, and many more.

The default language is English. Individual clients can also have their own language override set from their client settings.

Compliance Tracker Settings

Who can change: Owners and Admins only

Status Persistence Popup

Toggle the "Keep status for future weeks" popup on or off.

  • Enabled: When you change a client's compliance status in the Compliance Tracker, you'll be asked if you want that status to persist for future weeks

  • Disabled: Status changes apply to the current week only — no confirmation popup appears
