How to Add a Client to the Blood Test Portal (from the Client Dashboard)

Add a Trainerize client to your Blood Test Portal directly from their dashboard — select a plan, grant course access, and send the invitation email.

Written by Xenios Charalambous

You can add any Trainerize client to your Blood Test Portal directly from their client dashboard. This creates their portal account, sends an invitation email, and lets them access blood test results and courses.

Business package required.

How to Add a Client

  1. Go to Trainerize Clients and open the client

  2. Click the Blood Results tab in the left sidebar

  3. If the client isn't already in the portal, the Add to Blood Test Portal dialog opens automatically

Step 1: How Blood Test Data Is Protected

Blood test results are protected health information (PHI). The Blood Test Portal stores them on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. FitMetrics is not HIPAA compliant itself and does not provide Business Associate Agreements (BAAs); you remain responsible for your own compliance obligations.

Step 2: Client Email Required

The client must have an email address in their Trainerize profile. If they don't, you'll see a yellow warning asking you to add their email in Trainerize first, then sync your clients.

Step 3: Select a Plan

Choose the portal access level:

Plan

Description

Starter

Up to 5 blood results

Pro

Up to 50 blood results

Step 4: Grant Course Access (Optional)

If your business has Courses, you can select which courses to give the client immediate access to. Check the boxes next to the courses you want to include.

Step 5: Add to Portal

Click Add to Portal. Here's what happens:

  1. A portal account is created for the client

  2. Their profile is pre-populated with Trainerize data (name, email, date of birth, gender, height)

  3. An invitation email is sent to the client

  4. If courses were selected, access is granted immediately

After Adding: Blood Results Tab

Once the client is in the portal and has uploaded blood test results, the Blood Results tab shows 2 views:

  • Table View — all biomarker results in a sortable table with status indicators (Optimized, Suboptimal, High, Low)

  • Analysis View — AI-powered biomarker analysis with personalized insights

Alternative: Add via Automation

You can also automate this process using the "Add Portal Client" action in Automations. This automatically adds clients to the portal when they join, complete a form, or match a Smart View condition.
