Learn how the AI Call Analyst processes your Zoom and Fathom recordings into summaries, action items, coach performance ratings, and full session breakdowns.
What the AI Call Analyst Does
Once you've connected Zoom, Fathom, or both, the AI Call Analyst will automatically analyze all your cloud-recorded calls and give you a full breakdown of each session.
Important: For Zoom, only cloud-recorded calls work. The call must be at least 3 minutes long to be processed.
Supported Call Providers
The AI Call Analyst works with two recording providers:
Zoom — Cloud-recorded Zoom calls are automatically imported and analyzed.
Fathom — Fathom call recordings are automatically imported and analyzed.
You can connect one or both providers. When both are connected, all recordings are merged into a single unified view, sorted by date.
How It Works — Step-by-Step
Step 1: Record Your Call
For Zoom: Make sure cloud recording is enabled. Once the call ends, Zoom will take a few minutes to process it.
For Fathom: Record your call as usual through the Fathom app.
Step 2: FitMetrics Grabs the Recording
As soon as your provider finishes processing, the recording and transcript will automatically appear inside FitMetrics.
You'll see a transcript status indicator on each call: pending, processing, completed, or error.
Step 3: AI Analyzes the Call
FitMetrics AI processes the transcript and generates a full breakdown including a summary, action items, key questions, and a coach performance rating.
Where to View Your Calls
Go to the side menu in FitMetrics.
Click on AI Call Analyst.
You'll see four tabs at the top: All Recordings, Unmatched Participants, Unmatched Trainers, and Analytics.
All your Zoom and Fathom recordings appear in All Recordings, organized by date.
What You'll See Inside Each Call
When you click on a call, you'll get:
Full AI Summary of what was discussed
Action Items (to-do items or follow-ups)
Key Questions asked during the call
Full Transcript of the conversation
Call Duration and other metadata
Call Categories
Each call is automatically categorized by AI into one of four types:
Coaching Call
Sales Call
Team Call
Uncategorized
You can change the category at any time using the dropdown next to each call in the list view.
AI Coach Rating
For coaching calls, the AI rates coach performance across 6 metrics, each scored 0–10:
Overall Score — The overall coaching performance rating
Communication — Clarity and effectiveness of communication
Empathy — How well the coach understands the client
Goal Setting — Quality of goal-setting guidance
Motivation — How well the coach motivates the client
Professionalism — Preparedness, knowledge, and respectful conduct
Scores are color-coded: green (8.0 or above), yellow (6.0 to 7.9), and red (below 6.0).
Coaching calls also include a Performance Analysis section with:
Strengths — What the coach did well
Areas for Improvement — Where the coach can improve
Key Insights — Important observations from the session
