Not every client wants to participate in public rankings, and that's totally fine. FitMetrics gives you full control over privacy and visibility for your leaderboard.

Hide Names, Photos & More

To manage what appears on the public leaderboard, go to:

Leaderboard → Settings → Public tab

Here, you can toggle the following:

  • Hide Full Names — only show first names with surnames blurred

  • Hide Profile Pictures — remove client photos for more privacy

  • Hide Scores or Rankings — show participation without exact positions

  • Choose Which Metrics Appear — hide weight loss, nutrition, steps, achievements, etc.

Everything is fully customizable depending on your business style and client comfort level.

How Clients Can Opt Out

Some clients may prefer not to appear on the leaderboard at all. Here's how to remove them:

  1. Find the Leaderboard column

  2. Uncheck the box next to any client who wants to opt out

Once unchecked, that client will no longer appear in any leaderboard view — public or private.

Smart View Filtering

You can use Smart Views to control which clients appear on the leaderboard. On the Leaderboard page, use the Smart View filter dropdown to show only clients from a specific group.

This is useful for running separate competitions — for example, a "Weight Loss Challenge" smart view that only includes clients in that program.

Smart Views also have an Include in Public Leaderboard option, so you can control which smart view's clients appear on your public link.

Coaches on the Leaderboard

By default, clients linked to team members (coaches) are excluded from the leaderboard to keep competitions fair.

If you want coaches' linked clients to compete alongside everyone else, enable Coaches Compete in Leaderboard from your business profile settings. When enabled, all clients — including those assigned to coaches — will appear in the rankings.

Respecting client privacy is key to maintaining trust. These controls ensure your leaderboard stays fun, competitive, and compliant with your coaching culture.
