Keep your coaching schedule and task list in one place. Connect Google Calendar to Tasks to see your events alongside your to-dos, sync task due dates to your calendar, and never miss a session or deadline.

Connect Google Calendar

Each team member connects their own Google Calendar. The connection is per-user, per-business β€” so every coach on your team manages their own calendar link.

  1. Go to the Tasks page.

  2. Click the Google Calendar connection option.

  3. Sign in with your Google account and authorize FitMetrics.

  4. You'll be redirected back to Tasks with a success message. You're connected!

Sync Tasks to Google Calendar

When you create a task with a due date, you can push it straight to your Google Calendar.

  1. Create a new task and set a due date.

  2. A toggle labeled "Add to Google Calendar" appears. Turn it on.

  3. Optionally set a Start Time and End Time. Leave them empty to create an all-day event.

  4. Save the task. A calendar event is created with the task title and description.

Note: The "Add to Google Calendar" toggle only appears when two conditions are met:

  • Google Calendar is connected

  • A due date is set on the task

If there are existing events on the selected day, you'll see a conflict hint (e.g., "3 event(s) on this day") to help you avoid scheduling clashes.

Managing Calendar-Linked Tasks

From the three-dot actions menu on any task, you can manage its Google Calendar link:

  • Add to Calendar β€” sync an existing task (with a due date) to Google Calendar

  • Remove from Calendar β€” remove the calendar event without deleting the task

What happens when you delete a task?

If a task is linked to a Google Calendar event, deleting the task also deletes the event from your Google Calendar automatically.

Calendar View

The Calendar View on the Tasks page gives you a unified look at your schedule.

  • Tasks are plotted on the calendar by their due date

  • Google Calendar events appear alongside your tasks (auto-refreshed)

  • Click on any event to see details β€” title, time, attendees, meeting links, and location

  • Click on a day to quickly create a new task or calendar event for that date

  • Use the Create Calendar Event dialog to add events directly from the Tasks page

Disconnect Google Calendar

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the Tasks page. Disconnecting removes your calendar connection but does not delete any existing calendar events that were already created.

Google Calendar integration is part of Tasks, which is available on the Business package.
