How to Use the Activity Log to Monitor Team Activity

Track every action your coaches take in FitMetrics with the Activity Log — filter by category, team member, or date range to monitor daily coaching operations and spot gaps.

Feature Access: Business Package Only

The Activity Log gives you a real-time feed of every action your team takes inside FitMetrics. See who did what and when — from updating nutrition plans to sending messages to reviewing client check-ins. Use filters to zero in on specific categories, team members, or time periods so you always know what is happening across your coaching operation.

Where to Find It

1. Go to Team Performance from the left sidebar.

2. Click the Activity Log tab at the top of the page.

You will see a timeline of recent team activity, organized by date and sorted from newest to oldest.

What Each Activity Entry Shows

Every entry in the Activity Log includes four pieces of information:

  • Category Icon — A color-coded icon on the left that tells you the type of action at a glance (e.g. green for Nutrition, purple for Messaging).

  • Team Member Name and Role — The name of the person who performed the action, with a role badge next to it (e.g. owner, admin, coach).

  • Description — A short summary of what was done (e.g. "Updated nutrition plan for John Smith").

  • Timestamp — A relative time indicator showing when the action happened (e.g. "5 minutes ago", "2 hours ago").

Page view entries (when a team member navigates to a page) appear slightly faded to help you distinguish them from more meaningful actions like updates and edits.

Filter Options

Three filter dropdowns sit at the top of the Activity Log. Use them individually or combine them to narrow down exactly what you are looking for.

Category Filter

Filter by the type of action. Options include:

  • All Categories (default)

  • Navigation

  • Forms

  • Settings

  • Nutrition

  • Messaging

  • Automations

  • Check-ins

  • Clients

  • Habits

  • Reports

  • Workouts

Team Member Filter

Filter by a specific team member to see only their activity. The dropdown lists all members of your business — owners, admins, and coaches. Select All Team Members to see everyone.

Date Range Filter

Control how far back the log goes:

  • Last 7 Days

  • Last 30 Days (default)

  • Last 90 Days

The Activity Log displays up to 200 entries per query. If you need to find older activity, try narrowing your filters first.

Activity Categories

Each category has its own color-coded icon so you can scan the timeline quickly:

Date Grouping

Entries are automatically grouped under sticky date headers as you scroll:

  • Today — Actions from today

  • Yesterday — Actions from yesterday

  • This Week — Actions earlier this week (Monday through the day before yesterday)

  • This Month — Actions earlier this month but not this week

  • Earlier — Anything older than this month within your selected date range

Empty groups are automatically hidden, so you only see date headers that have activity underneath them.

How to Use It

Here are a few practical ways to get value from the Activity Log:

  • Daily coaching check — Select Last 7 Days and scan the Today group to see what your team has done so far. Look for gaps in Messaging or Nutrition activity.

  • Review a specific coach — Use the Team Member filter to isolate one coach's actions. Check whether they are reviewing check-ins, sending messages, and updating plans consistently.

  • Audit automation changes — Filter by Automations to see who has been creating or editing automations and when.

  • Investigate a client issue — Filter by Clients or Nutrition to trace exactly what changes were made and by whom.

  • Monthly overview — Set the date range to Last 30 Days and review the full timeline to understand team engagement patterns over time.
