What Is the Weight Lost Column?

The Weight Lost column inside the Compliance Tracker shows how much weight a client has lost within a specific time period.

You can now control exactly how this weight loss is calculated using two modes:

  1. Overall Weight Loss (from the beginning of their program)

  2. Weight Loss Based on Current Filters (dynamic, based on weekly/daily view & selected time range)

This gives you maximum flexibility depending on how you prefer to track progress.

⚙️ How to Enable & Configure the Weight Lost Column

Step 1 — Open Compliance Tracker

  1. Go to Compliance Tracker

  2. Click Fields (top right)

  3. Enable Weight Lost column

Once enabled, a settings icon appears inside the column header.

Step 2 — Choose Your Calculation Mode

Click the Weight Lost column on "Configure" header to configure it.

You will see two choices:

Mode 1 — Since Start of Program (Overall Weight Loss)

What it does:

  • Calculates weight loss from the client’s very first recorded weight

  • Up to the most recent weight entry

Example:

  • Starting weight: 200 lbs

  • Current weight: 185 lbs

  • Weight Lost = 15 lbs

This mode ignores filters — it always shows lifetime progress since the client started with you.

Best for coaches who want:
✔ Big-picture progress
✔ Total transformation tracking
✔ Overall journey view

Mode 2 — Use Current Filters (Dynamic Weight Loss)

This mode is selected by clicking:
👉 Use Current Filters

When enabled, FitMetrics calculates weight loss ONLY using the date range currently active in the Compliance Tracker.

This works in:

  • Weekly View

  • Daily View

And supports these dynamic filter ranges:

  • Past This Week

  • Last 2 Weeks

  • Last 3 Weeks

  • Last 4 Weeks

Weight loss is calculated as:

First weight recorded in selected time range
→ compared to
Most recent weight in the same range

📌 Example — “Last 2 Weeks” Filter

If you select Last 2 Weeks, then:

  • FitMetrics looks only at weight entries from that date range

  • It finds the earliest and latest weight entries from the past 14 days

  • It subtracts them to show weight lost during this period

Example:

  • Weight 2 weeks ago: 190 lbs

  • Weight today: 187 lbs

  • Weight Lost = 3 lbs (last 2 weeks)

If a client has no weight entries in that time range → the weight lost will appear blank or zero.

🔁 This Works Live With Your Filters

This is the magic of dynamic mode:

Whenever you change filters…

  • Switching Weekly → Daily view

  • Switching Last 2 Weeks → Last 4 Weeks

  • Changing the date range

…the Weight Lost column automatically recalculates for each client.
