📍 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Client’s Goals Tab

  1. Go to Trainerize Clients in FitMetrics.

  2. Find the client whose calories/macros you want to update.

  3. Click on their profile, then select the Goals tab.

  4. You’ll land on Nutrition Targets.

2. Review Weekly Averages

At the top, you’ll see the Weekly Averages History:

  • Shows last week’s actual calories and macros hit.

  • Helps you decide whether to adjust targets up or down.

  • Instant reference without needing extra reports.

3. Adjust Base Targets

Under Base Targets, you can choose one of three target types:

  • Full Macros (Calories + Protein + Carbs + Fat)

  • Calories + Protein

  • Calories Only

Simply enter the new values and they’ll be set for the client.

4. Customize Macros for Specific Days

You can create different targets for training vs. rest days:

  1. Click Customize Specific Days.

  2. Set daily calorie/macro values for each day of the week.

  3. See the new average calories/macros calculated automatically below.

⚠️ Note: Trainerize will only display today’s targets to clients. Targets for future days won’t appear until the day they go live.

How it works:
Every morning at 5:00 AM (in your account time zone), FitMetrics updates your client’s Trainerize account with that day’s assigned calories and macros.

5. Use AI Nutrition Suggestions

  • Click AI Nutrition Suggestions.

  • The AI analyzes client history and proposes ideal targets.

  • It also gives a short explanation for the recommendation.

6. Saving Your Changes

When saving new targets, you have three options:

  1. Apply Now – Updates immediately and sends a Trainerize notification.

  2. Notify with Message – Sends a Trainerize or Telegram message with the changes and reason (AI can write this for you).

  3. Schedule for Later – Pick a future date(s) for the changes to take effect automatically.

7. View the Macro Change Scheduler

  • Go to the Scheduler tab to see a calendar of all planned changes.

  • Perfect for planning several weeks or months ahead in minutes.

8. Track Change History

Click Show Change History to view:

  • Which coach made the change

  • Date & time of the change

  • Old values vs. new values

  • A complete log of all updates made via FitMetrics

💡 Pro Tips

  • Use Weekly Averages before making changes — they’re the fastest way to see real client compliance.

  • Scheduling changes in advance can save you hours every month.

  • AI suggestions work best when the client has at least 2–3 weeks of data logged.
