Automation Triggers — Client Reactivated and Client Deactivated

Use the Client Reactivated and Client Deactivated triggers in automations to run workflows when clients are reactivated or deactivated in Trainerize.

FitMetrics automations now support two additional triggers: Client Reactivated and Client Deactivated. These fire automatically when a client's status changes in Trainerize.

Client Reactivated Trigger

Fires when a previously inactive client becomes active again in Trainerize.

Use cases:

  • Send a welcome back message when a client returns

  • Re-assign habits or programs automatically

  • Notify the assigned coach that a client has returned

  • Move the client to a specific pipeline stage

Client Deactivated Trigger

Fires when a client is deactivated in Trainerize (moved to inactive status).

Use cases:

  • Send a farewell or feedback request message

  • Move the client to a "churned" pipeline stage

  • Create a task for the coach to follow up

  • Log the deactivation in your workflow

How to Set Up

  1. Click Create Automation

  2. Name your automation and click Continue

  3. Click the + icon to add a trigger

  4. Select Client Reactivated or Client Deactivated

  5. Optionally add filters:

    • Tag filter — only trigger for clients with specific Trainerize tags

    • Assigned coach filter — only trigger for a specific coach's clients

  6. Add your actions (send message, assign habits, move pipeline stage, etc.)

  7. Save and enable the automation

Important Notes

  • These triggers work with all existing automation actions (messages, habits, pipeline stages, tasks, etc.)

  • Tag filters check the client's tags at the moment of reactivation/deactivation

  • You can test automations before enabling them using the Test button
